Volvo now only sells new SUVs, but its saloons are excellent choices as used cars. There are two recent Volvo saloons to pick – the S60 and the larger S90 – and both have cool, calm interiors. Despite the R-Design trim's sporty looks, the focus of the S60 and S90 is very much on comfort. Both of these are excellent long-distance cruisers, and both offer the availability of a plug-in hybrid engine. The S90 has more rear-seat space and a larger boot, while the S60 is an interesting rival to the Jaguar XE and Audi A4.
